Chara Hobby 2009 started today, and Akiba Hobby and Hobby Stock have some updates on the figures that can be seen there, here are some of the more interesting figures I’ve spotted in their coverages.

K-On! Prop Plus Petit Figures

The rest of the PPP figures
If people have seen my posts about the K-On! Prop Plus Petit figures, the only previews that I could provide were magazine scans with unpainted prototypes or illustrations. This is the first time that I’ve seen the K-On! PPP figures, and so I’m sharing them to interested K-On! fans XD
My favorites among the bunch are Azu-nyan, Sawako-sensei and Yui. For some reason, the others look strange — and Ui seems to be missing her ponytail — or maybe it’s just because she’s seen in a wrong angle.

K-On! Nendoroids with Azu-nyan
As mentioned by Mikatan in her blog, Nendoroid Azu-nyan is currently in production! We now see a sneak peek of her here (still unpainted) can’t wait to see more previews~!!! <3

Haruhi Petit Figures and FMA ivoice figures
I’m actually more interested with the FMA figures (that are out of focus) in this photo — and with the looks of it, they seem to be iVoice figures? FMA, strangely doesn’t have much figures for such an awesome series (most likely because of the fact that most of the protagonists are males), I’ve gotten some FMA gashapons the past few days though (3 Roy Mustangs; 1 Riza Hawkeye; 1 Angry Ed — as much as I love Roy, I don’t want to keep getting him from the machine Dx).

Nendoroid Plus Queen's Blade

Nendoroid Plus Queen's Blade sign
Seems that GSC is going to produce a new line of Nendoroids aside from the regular Nendoroids and the Nendoroid Puchi — These Queen’s Blade Nendoroids are called “Nendoroid Plus” — they’re approximately 2 1/2 in in height — and because the illustrations have them in ball chains, it means, they’re keychains? I have to say, they’re wonderfully made keychains — but I think they’d be quite expensive key chains. And a side note — that Pixel Maritan Nendoroid (forgot the character’s name)… HAS A CUTE PANDA. I WANT THAT PANDA ;A;

Alter 1/8 Scale Saber (Maid ver)
Hot Saber Maid is Hot. I love the details on her outfit and the props. Not much love on the paleness of the hair, but I think Alter was trying to give a more realistic rendition of Saber here. I love how the stockings look too :3

GSC 1/8 Scale Alphard
I’ve already shared Mika-tan’s sneak peek for 1/8 scale Alphard in a previous entry, and here we see her again on display with GSC’s 1/8 scale Canaan. Is it just me, or does Canaan look puny here?

figmas on display
figmas on display — Reimu catches my interest the most… I never heard anything about planned pre-orders for her or when will she even be released. I really, really, hope that she won’t be a limited figure like Nendoroid Reimu.

Volks Kos-Mos Garage Kit
This lovely 1/4 Volks Garage Kit figure, is sadly a Chara Hobby Exclusive — not like I’d be able to buy her since her price tag is 50,400 yen. But damn, if I had that kind of money (and some more to get her painted), I’d buy her.

Spare outfits for Freeing's 1/4 scale Lucky Star figures
If you know of the Freeing 1/4 scale Lucky Star figures of them in their gym uniforms — it seems that Freeing had an ulterior motive as to why their clothes are cast-offable… yep! They now have alternate outfits as shown here in the photo. The idea is kinda awesome IMO — it’s like having Dollfie dreams without the hefty price tag, joints, wigs and the eyes — well, it is great if you don’t mind them in one pose, all the time.

I like her character design, anyone know who she is?
I’ve spotted this figure in Akiba Hobby’s coverage — love, love, love her funky outfit. If anyone can give me more details about the character, please do tell me! ^_^
If there are more updates or previews, I’ll post them in another entry!

For your question, from the display stand, it reads Sanada Yukimura from Hyakka Ryouran…
Thank you! *has zero Japanese reading skills*
Yup, she’s from “Samurai Girls”. They had previously released a PVC of “Yagyuu Jubei” who’s from the same series.
Ah, I know of Yagyuu Jubei but know nothing of the game. Google is of no help to me… What kind of game is it?
This page sums it up a bit:

Heh, in fact, you can see Yagyuu Jubei a little blurred out at the bottom right corner.
Key chain Nendoroids? Hmmm, I’m not sure that’s going to work well. All the Nendoroids I have (normal and puchi) are way to detailed and delicate to be used for that type of thing. And, as you say, too expensive >_<
I really wouldn't mind having that Saber but she is a Hobby Channel exclusive… i.e. a lot of money to import :(
Ouch. Why must most of the awesome looking figures be exclusives? ;A; they really like milking us of our moneyz
I agree about the Nendo + Keychain thing… if I had one, I’d probably try to take care of it more than my bag. LOL
Thanks for those pictures of the Prop Petit K-on! characters!!
I pre-ordered them, hoping they’d be good. They’re so cute, I can’t wait to get them!
Glad to see there’ll be an Azunyan nendo also, so now I definitely know they’re a must-have.
The FREEing stuff is awesome, but I believe the shirts are event exclusive…and would cost a bomb aftermarket.
I think the Canaan photo is the weird angle…plus Canaan is small to begin with.
Totally agree with you on the FMA figures, we need more of the….at least give me a good Winry figure!!
Ouch. Event exclusives… so good yet they eat all your money ;A;
Then again, if you’re good enough with sewing, you can make your own custom clothes for the girls.
I just found the Canaan photo strange because with Mikatan’s preview of Canaan and Alphard, they look to be about the same height.
FMA ;A; I want me some decent Ed and Al figures (Squeenix’s Play arts kai just didn’t cut it.)
