I saw the header of the official Nendoroid web site showing off the new cute Death Note Nendoroid Puchi series called the Death Note Case File #01.
Death Note was one of the series that had its characters made into Nendoroids early on during the production of the first few nendoroids. Some of the blogs or other places I’ve read on the net do complain that the DN Nendoroids’ heads were a bit unstable so they wouldn’t do without their stands. I’m guessing Good Smile wants to redeem itself with their DN nendos that’s why they are making the puchis even though the Death Note hype is slowly dying down — or so I think.
There are 10 figures all in all in this set. Two Raito figures — one with a scythe (which I love; and I think is based on a manga cover/official art) and one with his trusty Death Note and pen. Two L figures — one which is sitting on his comfy red couch and the standing one has the famous long-chained handcuffs. Two Misa-Misa figures — one with a handbag and winking one with a doll. Two Ryuk figures one with a DN and the other eating an apple. Then there’s a Watari — where you can actually remove his hat. Last but not the least in the set, is Rem.
I actually find them all cute! If only the puchi nendos don’t come in mysterious boxes where you have to guess if you got a different one or not… ><; I’d buy the whole set. Especially since it’s probably hella hard to find the DN nendos now… if not find crappy bootlegs of them — which are everywhere.
I’m still unsure if these will be sold out to the market or are limited edition. But chances are — they’ll be sold out to the public. *nod*
And since this is Case File #01 — something tells me there’s going to be Case File #02, which would have Mello, Near and Matt… if not, that’s pretty much injustice! D<
