More Nendoroid Reimu previews!

Reimu's cuteness... so irresistible TAT;

Reimu's cuteness... so irresistible TAT;

Mikatan has posted a new blog entry with more photos of Comiket-exclusive Nendoroid Reimu. As far as I can tell, she has three props: spirit cards, divination staff and tea cup and three faces: default smiling face, smiling face with eyes closed, and the adorable “ahh” face (as seen in above photo)

Reimu's base: a pretty Yin Yang!

Reimu's base: a pretty Yin Yang!

Of course, being an exclusive — it should have some awesome perks. Instead of the usual *insert title here/made in China* text seen in the Nendoroid base, Reimu has this pretty yin yang design for her base — which is pretty awesome btw — as well as her moveable ponytail — a bit similar to Nendoroid Yoko, but this time, it moves upwards to mimic Reimu when she’s flying.

I don't know how it was done -- but it's awesome! Imperishable Night nostalgiaaaaa~

I don't know how it was done -- but it's awesome! Imperishable Night nostalgiaaaaa~

The above photo is Nendo Reimu propped up using a figma stand and the new di:Stage which will be available in a few months. I’m not sure how Reimu was hooked onto the figma stand, but this is just awesome! It reminds me too much of the game now — I want to get her! TAT;

Overall, I think a lot of us who love Touhou will be wanting a Reimu, and because she’s an exclusive — it is all the more reason to try to get her. Is there a good soul out there who would let me buy her for a lower price? ;A; My paypal-enabled credit limit sucks.

    I want her to be my first…

    Nendo, that is.

    • 2 Ninjovee July 18, 2009 at 4:56 PM

      She’s not my first nendo as I have several already — but I want to get her ;A; why is Japan so near yet so faaaaaaar? TAT;

      • 3 Observer Extraordinaire July 18, 2009 at 8:45 PM

        lol I love those faces ;A; They should seriously move Japan closer! TAT

      • 4 Ninjovee July 18, 2009 at 9:03 PM

        I know of a blogger who’s selling exclusives to interested otaku… but the price is more or less double the actual price… and with the figures I’m saving up for… I doubt I can still afford to purchase Reimu … or… I might just give up on getting GSC Saber Lily ;A;

      • 5 Observer Extraordinaire July 18, 2009 at 9:55 PM

        You mean the Saber Lily nendo? That thing’s adorable! :3 But if i had to choose, Reimu wins ‘A’ sorry I stole your faces lol

      • 6 Ninjovee July 18, 2009 at 10:59 PM

        Oh, not nendo Saber Lily, I’ve already pre-ordered her and I’m sure I’ll be getting her~ especially because I now have a Saber Lily figma OwO I was talking about 1/8 scale Saber Lily ~Distant Avalon~ by GSC

        and… well… exclusive/limited >>> mass produced always TAT;;;

        and no problems about copying the emotes XDD

      • 7 Observer Extraordinaire July 18, 2009 at 11:15 PM

        I’m curious as to how thin these Reply boxes can get XD

        woooh~! I haven’t seen that one! *looks up* *A* Yeah, I can see why this would be a difficult choice! MAN that’s expensive. And exclusive. And extremely sexy.

      • 8 Ninjovee July 18, 2009 at 11:52 PM

        LOL. Am not sure… we’ll find out? XD

        Yes. Extremely sexy. I think the quality makes the price worth it though — she’s actually mass produced, but because of her awesome quality, almost all pre-orders are full… I think she’s going to be sold out the day she gets released… so now you understand why I’m having a hard time deciding =’D

      • 9 Observer Extraordinaire July 19, 2009 at 12:04 AM

        LMAO My name is gonna get cut off

        Oh yes, the quality is top-notch. I’ve seen some other versions with different poses, but I’m glad you brought this one to my attention…it’s the best, I love dynamic poses.

        But then again, there’s Reimu’s “ahh” face… ^ω^ such a brutal decision ;A;

  2. 10 Ninjovee July 19, 2009 at 7:41 AM

    LOL yea! XDDD I made a new comment thread because the comment I posted, made the page too long for comfort OTL

    Yes, the pose and the details are dynamic — I love Alter’s Saber Lily though, not as dynamic but it gives Saber a feminine air about her — perfect for the “Lily” version X3

    Yes, Reimu’s “ahh” face TAT;;; it’s my decision breaker ;A; I had the intention of getting all Saber Lilys (except Gift’s because it’s ick) but then Reimu shows up and is announced for Comiket… why couldn’t she come next year? ;A;

    • 11 Observer Extraordinaire July 19, 2009 at 8:44 AM

      C-C-C-Combo breaker! (I’ve always wanted to say that lol) Thanks for adding me on Twitter!

      Oh yes, Alter’s is very nice; the skirt is very well done, and the pose makes her incredibly hot. I like the color of the armor on GSC’s, but Alter’s lighter color adds to her femininity. ALL Saber Lilys? ºAº That’s awesome!

      I just saw Max Factory’s White Knight Saber Lily, and it seems hard to get, as it comes bundled with the game. Did you get that one, too? @_@ That one made me wet my pants! well, not really. Still, WOW.

      Even non-nendo Reimu’s adorable! I’m glad for that :D

      • 12 Ninjovee July 19, 2009 at 1:46 PM

        LOL! No problem btw~ I was intending to add your blog if you had any, but you didn’t… so I followed you on twitter instead ^^

        Well, there are only 5 Saber Lilys so far — my intention at first was to get all Sabers that are existing, but I think that’s going to be a pipedream… so I opted to get all Saber Lilys instead (except for the Gift ver.)… since Saber Lily is more epic than her Arthurian/regular version. *nodnod*

        You mean figma Saber Lily? Well, yes, she’s quite an exclusive, but she’s still available in some online stores (but with a heavy price tag). When I first saw her, I knew I had to get her — I was going to, some day… but a friend gave her to me~ X3 I blogged about receiving her a few posts back and will work on a review soon enough ^^

        Yes! There are non-nendo Reimu figures too! I want to get one of the scale figures… by Kotobukiya… I think… I need to re-check on that. But then again, I want to buy a lot of stuff TAT; and I don’t think that’s going to stop since there are always new figures coming out. Dx

      • 13 Observer Extraordinaire July 20, 2009 at 4:03 AM

        I tried blogging but I could never keep it going, I always forgot to update >.,>

        There’s a Touhou 1/8 Reimu with a kawaii pose, but I haven’t seen any others.

        On a different note, as far as nendo’s go, Mio’s a must-have. I knew it was only a matter of time, but I was still like Holy carp when I saw her lol

      • 14 Ninjovee July 20, 2009 at 11:36 AM

        LOL. I see… as you can see… I get to update more or less… but I’m backlogged in the other blogs I’m in ^^;;; RL eats up too much of my time! LOL jk

        and yeah… there’s only one maker of the 1/8 scale Reimu… she has a 2P color version — although the regular version looks better… and she looks chou kawaii! X3

        Oh yes, Mio… and the rest of the Kei-on bu~! I’ll definitely be getting their nendos! I wish the Alter figures won’t be released simultaneously but I doubt it. Dx I’m tempted to order the Prop Plus Petit figures too… if they still have stocks next year OTL

      • 15 Observer Extraordinaire July 20, 2009 at 2:10 PM

        OH I forgot about the 2P version! I love it, both the original and 2P are awesome. But I noticed that I have this thing for b&w color scheme outfits (like Yui’s ED outfit). Don’t Say Lazy made me realize how sexy gothic lolitas are lol did i say that aloud

        LMAO I looked up the Prop Plus Petit figures and found a post on Hyper Parfait… I saw the writer used TAT I knew it had to be Ninjovee lol! Those Petits are ridiculously CUTE (as the name implies) Concert clothes ftw! Azu-nyan comes with a slice of keki aww… I’d have to say my favorite Petit would be seifuku Yui, with concert Mugi a close second. I wish they’d have given Mugi her huge bun on her head, but that wouldn’t be concert Mugi anymore XD

      • 16 Ninjovee July 21, 2009 at 8:49 AM

        Don’t Say Lazy~ I loved their outfits there… I loved Mugi’s and Yui’s the most… and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being attracted to gothic lolis XD

        LOL. I’m also a writer at Hyper Parfait… ^^; but there’s actually a post of the Prop Plus Petit figures somewhere around here. LOL. And yes, they are cute XDD I wish they made “Don’t Say Lazy” figures tho *nodnod*

  3. 17 Observer Extraordinaire July 21, 2009 at 9:54 AM

    New comment box ftw

    Mugi’s and Yui’s were the best, so true. I think they’re eventually going to make the DSL outfit nendos, cuz those things wouldn’t make it to shelves (ppl would grab them before they even reach the shelves) XD I’ve been fansubbing (you might’ve read in one of my tweets) K-ON! in Spanish but I’ve been so busy episode 1 is taking forever TAT

    They seem to make figures for many an obscure anime…maybe I’m just oblivious to the newer anime, I dunno :| For example they’ve made countless figures of Ikkitousen char’s, Nanoha Strikers and some from visual novels like Little Busters! lol I think it might be due to a mix of fanservice and popularity polls. I guess sometimes the fanservice can overcome the limitations of popularity XD

    • 18 Ninjovee July 21, 2009 at 6:47 PM

      LOL another comment thread!

      *nodnod* I hope so… but I hope they’re not limited edition… or else, my wallet would mourn more. OTL

      Coolies~ fansubbing… then I figure that you’re good with Japanese? XD my Japanese still sucks OTL

      LOL. Yes, I’ve noticed a lot of Ikkitousen figures coming out… I never really watched it… all I know is that it’s like a fighting game in school + fanservice. LOL. There are some good figures of characters from Ikkitousen, though I’d rather go for something else. Nanoha too! The first actSta figure is a character from Nanoha… that makes me curious about the series. *nodnod* and I agree about the fanservice being a main factor to figure production — it’s because most of the otaku are males. *nodnod*

      • 19 Observer Extraordinaire July 22, 2009 at 1:46 AM

        My wallet has no mourning to do cuz my parents are against online shopping, so no figures 4 me TAT I share an account w/ them ;<

        lol I wish my Japanese was good enough for that! I just read the English fansubs and fansub those fansubs XD I hope to do "real" fansubbing when I get better at Japanese :D

        Curiosity forced me to watch a bit of Ikkitousen (w/ Spanish subs, just for fun :D) and I'm up to Ep 3…nothing amazing imo. I saw that actSta thing and wondered why they chose her as their first actSta figure… I mean, yeah, she's cool and those blades kick arse but sales would have probably doubled if it were, say, Saber Lily XD or maybe even a Haruhi one, who knows. The joints looked great tho ^_^b

      • 20 Ninjovee July 22, 2009 at 11:51 AM

        LOL. Actually, my credit card as a teeny tiny credit limit. LOL. I could only buy 2-3 figures with it — which is good because I want to pay my bill in full every month ^^;; But I used my other card for my Saber Lily pre-order… although it hasn’t been charged yet.. so I’m unsure what will become of that ><;

        I think Haruhi wouldn't have been a kick-ass start for an action figure line of that caliber — and if they produced Saber Lily first, then it'd defeat the purpose of Saber Lily figma's exclusiveness and more people would opt to buy an actSta instead because they're in the same price range.

      • 21 Observer Extraordinaire July 22, 2009 at 12:34 PM

        XD Separate credit for Saber Lily debt!

        woooh~! True, that’s very perceptive of you! Maybe Evangelion? Not one of the EVA’s tho, cuz that would reach niche customers. Hmm…kinda old anime tho. Vintage!

        I wish they’d make figures and nendo’s for some of the older anime…like R.O.D is one of my fav’s, and maybe Saikano and Dokuro-chan. ¡¿DOKURO-CHAN?! *_* Maybe they have and I’m just not looking hard enuff lol <.,>

        or maybe Azumanga Daioh…
